How SOS and place alerts keep your circle safe — without constant check-ins
"Text me when you get there" is one of the most common things families say — and one of the most commonly forgotten. LifeCircle's alerts replace it with something automatic.
Place alerts
A place is any location you save with a radius around it: home, school, the office, the gym. When a circle member enters or leaves that area, everyone who has alerts on gets a notification.
| Place | Typical use |
|---|---|
| Home | Know when the kids are back from school |
| School | Confirm drop-off and pick-up |
| Work | See when your partner has left for the commute |
| Grandparents | Peace of mind on weekend visits |
Tip: keep the radius around 150–250 m for most places. Too small and GPS drift can cause missed alerts; too big and you'll get notified early.
SOS
When someone in your circle taps SOS, every member immediately receives an alert with their live location. It's designed for situations where you can't make a call — signal for help without speaking.
Speed and battery alerts
- Speed alerts let you know if a driver in your circle goes above a set limit — a great conversation-starter with new drivers.
- Low-battery alerts warn you before a loved one's phone switches off, so you can call while you still can.
Putting it together
Set up your places once, switch on the alerts that matter, and let LifeCircle do the checking. You'll hear from it only when something changes.
